These beautiful skis are very well preserved. They are the Lund FIS model with brightly red painted waist (centru) and great original bear trap cable bindings and the tip labels.
Northland Ski Manufacturing Company was founded as the C. A. Lund Company in Hastings, Minnesota by Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund back in 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured at Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Northland was the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
