An excellent piece of history! Original 10th Mountain Division ski equipment made by Strand for the US Army. They were painted white to camouflage during missions on snow-covered terrain. The U.S. National Ski Patrol recruited most 10th Mountain Division soldiers. Skis like these were monumental in the successful missions against the Germans in the Italian mountains. They are marked with matching seriel numbers. Original cable bindings are still in great shape.
