A very fine example of vintage Maple Lund skis. These skis feature an original leather strap "cable" binding & foot pads. They also have 1920s pointed tips and the labels are in very good readable condition. This matched pair shows their unique serial number 7030 stamped into them. We have cleaned them with our special blend of wood oil and beeswax.
Northland Ski Manufacturing Company was founded as the C. A. Lund Company in Hastings, Minnesota by Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund back in 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured at Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Northland was the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
