A wonderful example of Northstar label downhill skis made by the Northland Ski Manufacturing Company. They are in great shape with original labels, leather bindings and they have been preserved with our natural oil and beeswax finish. A wonderful set of mid 1940's old wood skis.
Northland Ski Manufacturing Company was founded as the C. A. Lund Company in Hastings, Minnesota by Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund back in 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured at Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Northland was the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
