An authentic example of Northland FIS Slalom Northbilt Hickory. They are in good condition (considering their age). With distinctive pointed tips, original leather, metal bindings and a timeless "repair". A wonderful set of mid 1940's old wood skis. 81 inches long.
Northland Ski Manufacturing Company was founded as the C. A. Lund Company in Hastings, Minnesota by Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund back in 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured at Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Northland was the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
