A wonderful example of Northland Northbilt Maple skis. They are in excellent condition with most of their labels still visible. They have the original leather & metal bindings and have been cleaned up with a natural oil and beeswax finish.
Northland Ski Manufacturing Company was founded as the C. A. Lund Company in Hastings, Minnesota by Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund back in 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured at Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Northland was the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
