A wonderful set of antique wooden skis made by the Lund Company in Hastings Minnesota.  They feature their original labels and bindings complete with the factory leather straps.  They have been preserved with our natural oil and beeswax finish.  Interestingly one of the Lund Logos is covering a Northland Ski Co. label.  My only guess is that a factory worker mistakenly placed a Northland logo on one of the skis and then realizing his mistake simply placed a Lund logo over top.  In all my years of scouring over literally thousands and thousands of antique and vintage skis I have only seen this once before.

Northland Ski Manufacturing Company was founded as the C. A. Lund Company in Hastings, Minnesota by Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund back in 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured at Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Northland was the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
