A wonderful set of antique flat skis made by the Lund Company in Hastings Minnesota.  Original labels are still visible on these "red" finished skis. Leather strap bindings were the standard on these "pre-metal edges" style of skis.

C. A. Lund founded Lund in Hastings, Minnesota. Norwegian-born Christian A. Lund 1911. Skis, Poles, Boots, Bindings, Toboggans, and Snowshoes were manufactured at Hastings, Minnesota, St. Paul and in Laconia, New Hampshire. By the mid 1920’s and on into the 1930s, Lund (and later Northland) was one of the nation’s largest producer of Winter Sporting equipment.
