Original ski poles from the 10th Mountain Army Division. This elite group of winter warfare soldiers trained at Camp Hale, near Vail Colorado during the 1940s and through the 1950s. Huge 8" baskets were designed for deep powder. The shafts of the poles were painted "camouflage white" - to blend in with the snow color. The paint has faded on these - leaving a beautiful natural wood shaft. These are difficult to find in any condition. These are in "very good" condition - with only some slight breaks in the baskets.
