This is a classic pair of vintage 1940s ski poles. Before this style of ski pole was popular, skiers used one pole (a “push stick”). The baskets on these vintage ski poles are beautiful – double bentwood rings (rattan) and leather straps between. The ski pole ferule and tip are rusted metal. The leather straps on top are slightly different shades of leather, although they are “complete” leather loops.

Excellent pair of vintage ski poles for an Interior Design cabin, lodge or alpine project. In this pair of ski poles, I appreciate the solid brown color, the classic materials (wood, leather) and the large baskets, as they “show up” and would add to the decoration on the mountain home wall with vintage skis, antique snowshoes, and depending on the wall, a large 8’ toboggan, with natural wooden slats.
