A wonderful example of the creativity involved in hand making snowshoes. These snowshoes are a one-of-a-kind find. Unique craftsmanship - trapper or miner style, but smaller - so possibly for one of the young "trapper trainees". Everything about their design suggests daily use - from the nice thick raw hide lacing to the durable wooden frames -these snowshoes were built to take some rugged use.
