The style is typical of an Early American Ski Manufacturer. This is a “flat-top” ski, made by Strand – one of the earliest styles made. The pointed tip style was being made in the 1920s – 1930s. These skis are great for your Rocky Mountain cabin, or Lake Tahoe getaway. Even if you're in Montana, or the Adirondacks, these skis would decorate your walls perfectly. Strand was located in Wisconsin, and they used only the best Ash, Hickory and some Oak for their skis.
Manufacturing Note
Only the finest pieces of wood were chosen for crafting a ski of this style. Each board was examined to be straight or have a natural camber. Tips were steam bent after the ski had been finished with carvings, bindings and footpads.
