A very old wooden ice delivery sled. It features its original runners and frame. Sleds like this one were quite popular from the 1800’s – 1900’s. Ice was delivered each week for your "icebox". It was your responsibility to meet the Truck or Slegh at the end of the block and pickup your iceblock and take it home. Since they heavy, the ingenious iceblock sled was developed. Everyone had their own and some were handmade. This one has great hand-hammered runners.
