Native American Indian Snowshoes with a unique square toe - teardrop shape. The fine weaving on the babiche was likely done with animal hide; possibly caribou. The colorful fabric under the weaving on the sides of the frame - was likely for easy identification, as well as useful while trapping (by adding scent masking). The leather bindings look like they have been replaced, however they match the age and style of the snowshoes. An excellent and unique pair with the weaving intact.
