We are continually inspired by the variety in snowshoes and snowshoe design.
This pair of bear paw snowshoes are so unique. Instead of pom-poms - usually used for tribal marking and scent masking - the maker of these snowshoes cut small "bows" of rawhide, and used these on the outer edges of the frame. Traditional tight weaving - suggests these are 1930s-1940s. Leather strap foot ties (early style bindings).
