A great pair of military snowshoes - made in the 1950s-1960s.
White Metal was used as an "upgrade" from the older wooden snowshoes. The babiche (rawhide) of the older styles was again "upgraded and updated" to woven steel wire - one that will NEVER or close to never - wear out.
